How To Balance Your Relationship and Social Life as a Female Freelancer

as a Female Freelancer balance your social life

Freelancing gives you a unique way of presenting yourself and designing your way of life be it a career or a suitable side job. With freelancing you decide your working hours higher and fire yourself, work on the projects you like, it’s all independent. Freelancing presents you with incredible work choices and gives you a lot of freedom in work. But meeting the expectations and delivering the work to your clients requires a lot of motivation and discipline.

For most people the discipline requires a lot of effort to establish yourself as a freelancer. Also being your kind of boss does not seem to work that smoothly. Also, you must be serious and committed to your work which does not seem that right and motivated.

Points to Consider As A Female Freelancer To Manage Social Life

Being a freelancer especially a female freelancer and working inside of your premises may not seem that normal every time. Being a lady of the house, you must take care of a bundle of things in such situations you might lose the focus of your work and the balance of your life. But here we have got you covered with different points on how you must take care of your day-to-day routine.

  • Hold on to your schedule

One thing that most freelancers feel like the biggest perk of all the time is that we do not feel much connected to our work schedule that we set. So, these all certainties will eventually fall on you so to take care of that you have to set your schedules. Ranging from completing assignments to setting meetings you must set your working hours and stick to it like a committed person.

Most people do not wake up much and that is the one advantage of freelancing you do not have to wake up early. So, let us say start your work schedule at 11 a.m. or maybe the time you are much flexible with. As far as I have seen 80% freelancers like to work late at night. Everything works fine until Netflix drops a new spicy show, what are you going to do? Binge-watch all the episodes in a night ruining your whole work mood and a commitment of delivering your work.

Start your work at the same time every day so that you can get used to the new routine. Also avoid any kind of distraction let us say, working while watching tv or working while talking or socializing with your friends and partners. Or playing with your pet. Avoid all the type of distractions, give all the time to your work only then you will be able to deliver quality work and maintain your position.

But after struggling with all these things when you find one good routine that takes out that productive person out of you, I would suggest stick to it. Just decide the days of your work and in those days make a promise to yourself that you will not ruin them by changing your routine.

But as you are a freelancer so it’s suitable to work only three days, pick any three days from the week but as soon as you have picked them, uphold strong to them do not change and interrupt them.

The hours you have chosen are work hours and they should be treated as work hours. One great rule of thumb is that while you are working from home do not do anything you will not do in the office. While working from home you have several benefits like taking a five-minute break, grabbing a drink or a quick nap. But only when you would stick to a schedule.

While the other side of this is that as a freelancer you must work hard and long. Also, it becomes quite easy to lose track of the time when you choose to work from home. Also, adopting your work in the personal space can make you distracted, and many times lines may come out blurry and mixed. I remember a time when I was freelancing.

It was quite easy for me to pause the work, have dinner and resume the work from where I left. But for people who like to stay awake the whole night, or someone having a lot of projects or if you love working so much till late night this can interfere with your daily routine. So, if you choose to work so much without any break or rest this will surely affect your daily life most negatively.

  • Meet the requirements

Always try to create a schedule and stick to it because with this you will go through your work hand to hand. Always creating a sound schedule and maintaining it favors you in more than one way. Also, with this, managing yourself will be very much helpful as to how you spend your time with it. But when you manage your time on your own it is easy to procrastinate the timing as well as the freelancer to feel kind of overwhelmed with all the disorganized thoughts and working on the most important projects for various clients. Also, with this, you will be able to divide your time like one day dedicated to one client or maybe divide hours taking two clients on one day. This setting will be according to your moods and work practice.

We have got you covered by providing different tips on how you manage your time that will help you stay organized. Also, you can keep all kinds of calendars organized that also require improvements like on the paper or maybe online, not just this but creating your lists for organizing your thought process on how you should begin your work and why you should do that. Also, assess the hours according to the project before you start working on it.

Also keeping the track of time and maintaining all the requirements and expectations from your clients is one of the things not everyone can understand. This is important for every freelancer having so many clients and social media followers.

Every client is running a business and their efforts depend on the kind of work you deliver to them, the kind of service you give them because of this you will feel so much pressure not only with work you already have but with every new client. So, if you are a new freelancer do not just say yes to every kind of work or project.

We understand that you want to deliver quality work and experience. Also, with that, you want to grow yourself as an effective freelancer and to get some positive reviews. Not only this but you have to keep yourself entertained and committed to your work. But many times, you will mess-up with the work schedules. So, their expectations depend on you and this is not going to change as they want their work from you not from any other kind.

So, maintaining your workload and expectations of your clients is one difficult thing. It is very necessary for the growth of your work and the quality you maintain. So in between going on and off with your clients is not that easy but it can work for you as you may go from one to another. But for this, you need to maintain the boundaries and work schedule easily.

  • Create your workspace

When you are a full-time freelancer, you work in a corner of your house. That corner is your workspace or what you can call your office. Many people work to form their home but some of them prefer a café or a library or maybe a beautiful park where they can enjoy the weather and feel like the world is a beautiful place. Not only this but there are several workshare things where you can go and work. The place does not matter if you are committed to your work, you can even work from a small room at least that is how I started, for me, it does not matter if you work from home or café or whatever it does not matter much.

  • Keeping it professional

This is not a rule but more like a suggestion and can be a personal issue of the writer. So, in the beginning when I started freelancing. I tried to follow my morning routine because I am a morning person, a routine comprising breakfast, shower, coffee and then start work. I had this habit of getting dressed suitably, not just in the pajamas.

On second thought with the power comes responsibility now I do not know who said that first, but that phrase really helps get the situation under control. Freelancing gives you a flexible schedule and more freedom of work and with this, you will balance your life in  other ways. Also striking between the two things can be hard so you just need to have a balance between them and boom you are on your track.
